Linda Gilleland, CIC, CBIA
Linda has more than twenty-five years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in business and personal insurance, life insurance, and ancillary products. She graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology and is also a magna cum laude graduate of Wingate College. Linda holds Property and Casualty, Life and Health, Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care, and Real Estate licenses. She maintains the prestigious designations of Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Builders Insurance Agent. Linda is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, Professional Insurance Agents of North Carolina and Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina.
George, a thirty-seven year resident of Watauga County, grew up in Miami Beach, Florida and attended the University of Miami. He is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker and developed Mayview Manor Estates in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. George served as president of the High Country Builder’s Association, is a Certified Master Builder and a Certified Green Builder. George enjoys golf and is interested in a variety of college and professional sports. He especially enjoys Appalachian State University football and attends many of their games.

Debbie leads the commercial lines department and has more than twenty years of experience in the insurance industry. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Industrial Technology. Debbie is a licensed Property and Casualty agent and has earned the prestigious designations of Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Insurance Service Representative and a Certified Builders Insurance Agent. She is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, Professional Insurance Agents of North Carolina, and Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina.

Debbie has more than sixteen years of experience in financial planning, specializing in Long Term Care planning, annuities, and IRA distribution planning. Many of her referrals are from CPAs, Attorneys, Insurance Agents and Financial Planners who know Debbie as a trusted resource for helping clients protect their assets. She has served as an agent trainer for the number one provider of Long Term Care Insurance. Debbie has appeared as a guest speaker for American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), The Military Officers Association (MOAA formerly TROA), National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Rotary, and many local churches. Debbie holds Life, Health, Medicare Supplement, and Long Term Care licenses.
Marilyn Barker, CIC, AAI
Personal Lines Agent
With over thirty years of experience, Marilyn has worked as a consultant training other agents, served on several insurance company agency counsels, and received exceptional designations and awards. Marilyn specializes in working with clients who have complex personal insurance requirements and concentrates on assisting clients in developing personal insurance programs based on an evaluation of their exposures. Devoting her career to ensuring clients receive the best care, Marilyn has proven to be an asset to the insurance industry.
Personal Lines Manager
Noha is a native Egyptian and has been living in the United States for the past seven years. She has several years of experience in the insurance industry working in multinational insurance firms as well as years of experience as a customer service manager. Noha graduated from Misr International University in Egypt with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She is fluent in English and Arabic. Noha is an AIESEC alumna as well as a Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification holder. She is now a licensed agent, receiving her NC Property and Casualty Insurance license in November of 2016. Noha’s favorite hobbies are playing the piano, reading, and fashion.
Sierra is completing her last year at Appalachian State University and is working to receive her Bachelors in Accounting. She is a proud member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and has made the Dean’s List every semester since entering ASU in 2013. Although accounting is her specialty, Sierra has found an interest in insurance and office operations. Her hobbies include visiting the Watauga Humane Society and enjoying the many activities The High Country has to offer. Her future aspirations include owning her own CPA firm and working with local animal shelters by way of opening her home to foster cats and preparing them for adoption.
Buddy Blue Prince
Buddy Blue is a black, brown, and white ball of energy. He is happy to greet any and all of Greystone’s visitors, including clients, friends, and delivery personnel. He joined the Greystone team in February, 2014. Buddy Blue can sometimes be found catching a nap in his favorite chair if he has had an especially hard day of greeting!
